Aghamin’s Scepter for everyone: Support heroes
As you may know, the recent Dota 2 Patch added a new Aghanim’s Scepter for the rest of heroes of Dota 2. You may already know that most of the heroes benefit from the Aghanim’s Scepter not quite well, but the supports could achieve interesting additional tools that will be incredibly useful during matches.
This time I want to highlight supports that must rush Aghanim’s Scepter and divide them by tiers:
- S-Tier – Heroes must build the Aghanim’s Scepter as soon as possible;
- A-Tier – In most cases, Aghanim’s Scepter will be awesome, but you could win with other items;
- B-Tier – Is interesting buff but in most cases, you will want to build other artifacts;
- C-Tier – Not the best item for these heroes;
- D-Tier – The worst item you could build, but in some situations, it could be impactful.
S-Tier Aghanims for Supports
The next champions receiving an awesome buff from obtaining the Aghanim’s Scepter, so they are the only choice if you playing to boost MMR in Dota 2. If you have a free one from a Roshan you could beg for one if you playing as one of the next heroes:
- Dark Willow;
- Disruptor;
- Rubick;
- Techies;
- Treant Protector;
Dark Willow – From a support into a semi-carry
Aghanim upgrade: Attacks are no longer taking you out from the Shadow Realm, giving you an opportunity to quickly delete some squishy opponent. The bonus damage based on the duration of the buff, the range of attacks is always maximum.
Taking into account her incredibly high survivability she will survive most of the fights and quickly get to the major talents, like GPM and Attack Speed.
Disruptor – Perfect disable of anyone you have caught
Aghanim upgrade: Static storm prevents enemies from using any items (plus to the basic silence).
Disruptor is always taking as support of 5 position so building an Aghanim is incredibly tough work for him, but if you will manage to build it, you will have the most impactful spell in the game, especially if you could catch more than one hero in the Static Storm.
If you playing in a team, then somewhere at 15-20 minute gently ask your 4 position to buy wards for 10 minutes, while you building Aghanim’s Scepter.
Rubick – “I am you, but cooler”
Aghanim upgrade: Decrease cooldown of spell steal and insanely increase the cast range. Upgrade the stolen spell if it may be upgraded by the Aghanim.
The best item for Rubick, especially if an enemy has heroes with strong ultimates, like Luna, Tide Hunter, Enigma and etc. Just stay out of a fight and be patient.
You need to wait for the best moment when you will be able to steal the ultimate and quickly turn the fight. Remember that all your spells are much stronger, thanks to the passive.
Techies – The scariest Aghanim ever
Aganim upgrade: Minefield Sign hides all mines in a short radius around itself. Even Gem of Truesight cannot unveil them.
It pretty hard to evaluate the real worth of this item for Techies. But I LOVE it and think that this is quite an unbalanced item. You will fear enemies with the only one sign, even if you have not any mines under it. So many opportunities open with that,
I could not even predict all the ways of using it! Techies could farm very fast, especially if we will have a free lane. So I highly recommend you to rush this item right after the soul ring or arcane boots.
Treant Protector – The vision is the key
Aghanim upgrade: Treant Protector received an additional ability “Eyes in the Forest” that giving you an ability to gain a vision around a tree you have chosen. Also your ultimate will work not only around you but in the short radius across your Eyes.
Vision is a Key to winning in the Dota 2, especially in the late stages of a game, where a single mistake could bring a defeat.
This additional vision of Treant Protector will give you an opportunity to catch a single enemy. And the greatest thing in this Aghanim – the longer the game, the more vision you have and more map control you could get.
