Sometimes you knock over or drop something sticky on the carpet. If you wait, there is a risk that the stain will penetrate the carpet and thus become more difficult to remove. Here are some examples of different stains and how carpet cleaning Essex can help remove it
Alcohol: Absorb a diluted ammonia solution on white towel, dab and dry well.
Beer: Add a little cleaning product and dab gently. If the stain persists, try with a lightly vinegar solution, dab again and dry well.
Candle: Place ice cubes on the candle stain until it is hardened, and peel off as much as possible by hand.
Burn: Observe the depth of the burn; you may try to cut off the burnt part of the pile using nail scissors.
Coffee: Absorb as much ammonia solution as possible on a white cloth and dab. Repeat until the stain disappears. Dry well.
Chewing gum: Place ice cubes on the chewing gum until it is hard, and peel off as much as possible by hand.
Chocolate: Dampen a cotton cloth with a mild cleaning product and dab. If the stain persists, try with a diluted ammonia solution and dab. Dry well.
Waxing: Scrape gently as possible the surface with a spoon. Dampen a cotton cloth with a mild cleaning product and dab. Dry well.
Wax: Place a blotting paper or Kraft paper bag over the stain. Run a hot iron over the blotting paper / paper bag and allow it to absorb the wax.
Ice cream: Gently scrape the surface as much as possible with a spoon. If the stain persists, dampen a white cotton cloth with a diluted ammonia solution and dab, then try with a diluted vinegar solution if the stain has not disappeared. Dry well.
Ink: Cover the stain with lacquer and let dry, then remove gently using a solution of water and vinegar.
Ketchup: Dampen a cotton cloth with a mild cleaning product and dab. If the stain persists, try with a diluted ammonia solution and dab. Dry well.
Milk: Dampen a cotton cloth with a mild cleaning product and dab. If the stain persists, try with a diluted ammonia solution and dab. Dry well.
