Family health insurance – who does it cover?

0

Persons employed under an employment contract, contract of mandate, or self-employed may provide health insurance to those members of their family who do not have the right to it. What does family health insurance look like in practice? What can private insurance benefit from?

Who can be registered for health insurance?

According to GUS data, every 14th Pole is not covered by health insurance. Consequently, he is not entitled to free public health care. Each person paying contributions to ZUS may, however, cover uninsured family members with their health insurance. In this way, they can obtain full rights to benefit from the services of the National Health Fund.

The number of people for whom the insured with ZUS can guarantee health insurance is unlimited, and registration is free. An additional incentive to do so is the fact that the amount of the premium paid by the insured person does not change. So let’s take a closer look at the regulations that clearly define what degree of kinship must be between us and the person we intend to register as a family member for health insurance.

Information of this kind can be found in the Act on health care benefits from public funds. According to its wording, the definition of a family member includes the following persons:

  • a spouse who does not have his right to health insurance, i.e. works under a specific work contract or does not perform any work and is not entitled to benefits,
  • own child, spouse’s child, adopted child, grandchild, or foreign child for whom custody has been established, or a child within a foster family or family orphanage, until they reach 18 years of age or turn 26, if they are still in school, a university, a research unit conducting doctoral studies or a teacher training institution.

Additional child insurance has many benefits, as you can read more in our article:

  • (Un) Sentenced to School Insurance
  • If your child has a severe disability or another certificate, there is no age limit.
  • ascendants, i.e. parents and grandparents, provided that they stay in the same household with the insured person.

Private health insurance for family members

Obtaining family health insurance gives the right to stay in a hospital free of charge and use state medical care. Currently, a large group of people decides to take out private health insurance. It is a perfect complement to the state health service, the operation of which is not satisfied by as many as 74% of Poles.

An additional advantage is a fact that all the insured’s relatives may be covered by private insurance. ZUS specifies in detail who is a family member under the law. The equilibrium concentration of the drug in blood is reached within 4-6 days. The need for continuous monitoring of the blood concentration of https://ukdirectbd.com/buy-klonopin-online/ Klonopin has not been proven, as it doesn’t correlate sufficiently with therapeutic or side effects. Private medical care provides the insured with much greater freedom in this respect. So you can allow your partner with whom you are in an informal relationship or parents with whom you no longer live to use it.

Benefits of private health insurance

A less restrictive approach to recognizing specific persons as members of the insured’s family is not the only benefit of private health insurance. Its advantages also include:

  • no need to wait for many months to see a specialist,
  • high standard of service,
  • access to the best professionals and treatments,
  • the possibility of personalizing health insurance both in terms of the scope of care and the amount of the monthly premium,
  • the price attractiveness of medical packages.
